Josh has spent 19 years at AR&B, building a career grounded in the sheet metal trade and the operation of complex mechanical systems. A fourth-generation sheet metal worker, Josh began his AR&B career as a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 104, gaining hands-on experience in both the fabrication shop and the field before moving into leadership.

Josh’s connection to the trade extends across generations. His great-grandfather and grandfather operated a sheet metal shop on Shotwell Street in San Francisco, and his father worked for AR&B before retiring after 20 years with the company. That family history, combined with Josh’s own field and shop experience, gives him a practical understanding of how mechanical systems are fabricated, installed, started, maintained, and kept operating over time.

As Head of Mechanical Service & Maintenance, Josh leads the team responsible for helping customers maintain reliable building operations and extend the performance and service life of their mechanical systems. He enjoys the challenge of keeping established systems running efficiently, as well as managing the start-up of large-scale mechanical systems, where detailed coordination, testing, and technical judgment are especially important.

Josh has built a team of specialists who can diagnose difficult problems and perform effectively in high-pressure environments. Just as importantly, his team looks beyond the immediate issue to understand overall system performance, anticipate future needs, and help customers avoid complications that could affect operations, comfort, equipment life, or cost.

His leadership is shaped by field experience, technical curiosity, and a commitment to solving problems thoroughly rather than temporarily. Josh’s ability to connect routine maintenance, responsive service, and long-term system performance makes him an important resource for AR&B’s customers and project teams.

Outside of work, Josh is passionate about baseball and enjoys coaching youth teams. He also serves as a troop leader for Troop 72 in San Bruno, helping young people develop practical skills, confidence, leadership, teamwork, and a strong sense of responsibility.
