Matt O’Reilly
Fire Protection Superintendent
Matt leads AR&B’s fire protection operations, helping guide projects through one of the most technically demanding and highly regulated areas of construction. Since joining AR&B in 2014, he has worked across nearly every stage of fire sprinkler delivery, including engineering, estimating, project management, permitting, inspections, field coordination, and construction supervision.
His experience includes designing commercial and residential fire sprinkler systems, completing hydraulic calculations, performing field surveys, coordinating plan and material submittals, and working with architects, general contractors, building owners, property managers, and local fire departments. That broad background gives Matt a practical understanding of how design requirements, fire codes, permitting authorities, construction schedules, and field conditions must come together for a system to be installed and approved successfully.
As superintendent, Matt leads field personnel while overseeing installation coordination, equipment purchasing, inspections, safety, and project progress. He is known for bringing clarity and steady leadership to work that requires exceptional attention to detail, particularly within San Francisco’s complex buildings and demanding regulatory environment.
Matt studied Fire Science at the College of San Mateo and holds certifications in fire inspection, OSHA 30, confined-space construction, scaffold safety, CPR, and first aid. His commitment to service also extends beyond the workplace through his support of the Heart of a Hero Foundation and Parkinson’s Foundation.
